It's no surprise Jordys closed, the city doesn't make rent cheap. - Sunday, after four years, was it for the restaurant when the owner, Mark Wilcox, decided to  abandon his employees, vendors and bands who played live. The closing not only removes another restaurant from downtown possibly for months but leaves his former employees without payment for theor dedicated work. We received the following;

"No name, Mark Wilcox, the owner of Jordys that closed Sunday, cannot even offer W2s to employees because he owes money to the payroll company he used.

So no W2s are issued to employees forcing them to wait till Feb 15 when they can go through a complicated process to create a W2. Sucks for them bad....

Mark is in hiding, checks have bounced to about everyone including suppliers for over a year now. Plenty of people in line to sue his ass...

He's run two business' in the ground so far, lets hope he doesn't try again......

He's got plenty of cash stashed that nobody knows about, know that for a fact....."

With the closing of Jordys the downtown area will be quiet for a bit. It appears the City with their exorbitant charges forces business out in the hopes high end clients will come through the door. We all want to eat downtown but the possibility are still far from reach.

"We all want to eat downtown..." You still have 23 other choices. That's the real problem. Over saturation. You don't have to pay $100,000 for a study to prove that.
