We all love to get deals, which is why Black Friday has been commercialized so bad and the deals are so good. The plan to go out and get in line, fight the crowds to get those items saving you hundreds while at the same time making your Christmas shopping complete.

That isn't the case for one family who was robbed at gun-point "somewhere" in Columbus early this AM just before heading home.

The man who demanded everything in the backseat and trunk of their SUV after spending hours and thousands of dollars to lose it all in a matter of minutes by greed. The man didn't take their personal effects.

The family reported the robber as a tall man acting alone with a deep voice, wearing a ski-mask, he got into a dark colored 4 door sedan and sped away heading North.

The family while shaken up didn't want to file a police report but had these kind words to say to the robber.

"We will pray for your soul, we are happy you didn't harm us but the image of you holding that pistol in our faces will forever be burned into our memories. We hope the things you took from us will prevent you from taking from another family.

We know we should file a report with the police but we believe in the lord and forgiveness, we ask you, to ask Jesus into your heart so he can forgive you for your crime against us."

Thank you Columbus Man for allowing us to tell our story. We won't be releasing our names, where it happened because we don't want others to fear the neighborhood they live in.

I asked the family why they didn't report it, the response, "we feel we are in a place in our life to help someone out. If the items we purchased help this man and his family then we couldn't ask for anything better this Christmas.

We sent this to you in hopes the man will see this message and he will make better choices and know we are praying for him to find the right path in life.

It happened so fast, we didn't have our children with us and the man while demanding didn't speak to us with anger but fear and desperation. Again, thank you Columbus Man."

I have no words... but it is rare to hear about a family brushing off a robbery.

One word... IGNORANT... When a person like this gets away, they get bolder and bolder until someone gets hurt. You are hurting the general public by not taking action!!!
