The story started with this submission "4 break-ins at Canterbury house apartments in the last week. We are watching and will report any suspicious activity to CPD"

Hey saw the post about the "alleged" Canterbury Break-ins. I live here and our deadbolt was changed or damaged while the maintenance was in fixing something inside. Thing is we've asked for this issue to be taken care of for three months and the maintenance decides to fix it the 20 minutes I'm out of the house all of a sudden when I've told them to only enter when someone is there.

Well I came home to my item being fixed and my deadbolt unable to work. I called the police and he even tried it and couldn't get it to work with either one of the keys I've had now for the 18 months I've lived here.

While I was waiting on the cop to show I asked a few people out walking around the apartment if they had seen anything recently and that is when they told me about two separate incidences involving break-ins in just the same week!

Everyone is saying they suspect the one and only maintenance man here. He says he has no involvement but really who else has access to all our keys? He may not be the one doing the work but he's got a crew behind him it seems.

We are all on to him though. Its a little more than a typical break in cuz nothing has been stolen yet, just broken into or locks messed with or doors left wide open -even when a tenant was gone on vacation- seems a little fishy.

This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard! I live in Canterbury and have known the maintenance guy for years he would never "break in" to anyone's home! Not to mention why would he just want to go in your apt? I mean really come on nothing is stolen but the maintenance man is breaking in! You need to look else where for your suspect maybe someone that doesn't have anywhere to go and is looking for someplace to hang out.
Reply Great Comment I'm sorry, but this is wrong!
